By now, everyone knows that one of Europe’s trailblazing operators, Unibet, is live in NJ. Indeed, the Kindred Group’s core brand secured a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License in June. And, after the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) deemed them fit for the US market.
And what a great news this is for New Jersey. Because Unibet is a powerhouse in the online gambling sector. Plus, they’ve teamed up with another major player, Hard Rock. This partnership gives Unibet the rights to distribute online casino content all over the Garden State. But, Unibet is taking a new route to market. A new logo and a new deal
All and all, even if the Unibet logo has changed a bit. The same quality people are still behind the brand. According to the group, a change was necessary to “Better cater to today’s mobile-first environment”.
Another critical change that Unibet did in New Jersey is that they’ve only gone live with casino products. However, a deal with Scientific Games for their Openbet Platform is telling us that Sportsbook is on the horizon. So, it’s only a matter of time until they become the sports betting giant Europe is familiar with.
After all, according to Manuel Stan, SVP of Kindred US. They aim to deliver “a truly great gambling experience”. And nowadays, it’s only achievable when offering multiple products.
Time to plan expansion
Although Kindred is live in New Jersey, they’ve already started to plan for their expansion.
Indeed, the company has recently stated that their move across the ocean won’t be limited to New Jersey. And that’s not a big surprise either. Pennsylvania is on everyone’s radar by now. And their recent strategic alliance with Mohegan Sun (for PA) only proves that the race is on. And Unibet may well be a top contender to win it.
