Tropicana Entertainment Incorporated buys The Chelsea Hotel
The landscape of Atlantic City will soon change. This is because the Tropicana Entertainment group has purchased The Chelsea Hotel. For its prime boardwalk location and are planning to build a sky bridge to connect both holiday resort.
By completing this acquisition the group will increase its Boardwalk rooms to 2,730. The Tropicana group are also planning to re-brand the Chelsea Hotel as Tony Rodio. President and Chief Executive Officer for Tropicana explained in the press release.
“We are pleased with this acquisition and the opportunity to offer our guests more hotel room options on The Boardwalk. The Chelsea Hotel is a great addition to our four existing hotel towers at the Tropicana Atlantic City. Guests will be able to enjoy a boutique hotel feel while having full access to all resort options at the Tropicana Atlantic City.”
