Eldorado Tropicana Shake-up

It’s no surprise that Eldorado Resorts wants to change things a little within Tropicana after buy-in the property. And the winter months are the best time to put new heads in place since land-based casinos are usually a bit less busy. So it’s a great time to clean house.

But, what we’re seeing here is the results of a deal that took place three months ago. If you remember, Eldorado bought Tropicana back in October for $1.85 Billion. Since then, they’ve been hard at work getting things in order. As for Callender, well this is a huge promotion for him. But then again, he’s got more than 40 years of experience, nine of those at Tropicana. Not to mention, his expertise is exactly what Eldorado needs at this time. Going forward, it will be exciting to see what direction the New Jersey casino takes under his leadership.Tropicana AC to see new regional Senior Vice President

According to Callender’s new boss Anthony Carano, “Steve’s long background in the industry makes him an excellent choice for the position.” He added “we’re confident that under his leadership Tropicana will benefit from his deep knowledge. Plus, his success at Tropicana is proof of his ability to lead us in the right direction.” So as you can see, Eldorado believes Callender is the perfect one for the job.
