As you may know, BetMGM is the successful product of a deal between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts. It is now one of the biggest names in sports betting in the US. Now, the Detroit Lions have named the company its first official sports betting partner. As a result of this new deal, they will display the BetMGM name and branding around the team’s stadium.
Also, the Lions will feature them on their digital channels and broadcast programming too.
However, this is not a brand new partnership. In fact, it’s is an addition to an already existing deal in which BetMGM opened the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club at the Lion’s Ford Field Stadium.

An Historical Partnership
Ron Wood, the Lion’s Team President, said that he is “proud to announce details of the official partnership” to fans. He also said that their “historic relationship with BetMGM has been years in the making” and they’re very proud of that. Also, BetMGM will partner the club presenting the free to play Lions Bingo game, which the team will have on its mobile app.
This is another huge deal for BetMGM that continues to grow in US sports betting. And without a doubt, even if the Lion’s is Detroit home team, fans of the club in New Jersey will benefit from this deal too.
