Thanks to a surprise legal twist, the 11-year old Borgata Babe’s lawsuit will proceed for another round of court hearings. Like most people, we also thought the ruling, was the final back in 2016. Unfortunately, that’s simply not the case. So it seems that it’s an old story that just doesn’t seem to be going away, so here we are again with all the latest details.

Alright, maybe this isn’t actually Round 12, although it sure does feel like it. Either way, we sure hope it is. After more than a decade, it’s time to move on from this news, but the ex-Borgata Babe’s aren’t an easy pack of gals. Rightfully so, the Borgata also feels they are clear of any wrongdoing in this matter. Therefore, they refuse to settle out of court, which is what the Babe’s are looking for.
According to the original claims, 21 women said the Borgata violated discrimination laws after they were let go of for gaining more than 7% body weight. The judge in the case at the time ruled in favour of the Borgata because each Babe agreed to the stipulation at the time of hiring. Also, the same rules apply to men working as servers at the Borgata as well.
As We Proceed
After the defeat, the Babe’s tried to move the case to the New Jersey Supreme Court, but they also refused in honour of the original ruling. Three years later, they’re back with new claims of sexual harassment. When asked what happened, they said the weight gain came from a medical condition after pregnancy. It’s not sure where this is leading, but from this perspective, it doesn’t look too good for the ex-Babe’s. So as this case reignites, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. So stay tuned, and as soon as the word comes through, we’ll deliver the news.
