A Very Successful Partnership

Previous to this renewal deal, FanDuel had chosen Scientific Games to power its US Sportsbook. But the deal at hand means it’ll work across all current and future regulated US markets.

It was also back in 2000 when Flutter and Scientific Games signed a partnership for non-New Jersey brands. As such, this will be the 20th anniversary of a very successful collaboration.

The CIO of Flutter Entertainment, Rik Barker, said that he is very happy to renew the partnership. He noted that Scientific Games’ OpenSports technology had been a “key part” of their sports betting platform for several years. As well as this, the technology gives them the perfect platform to deliver on their goals. Sports betting is entering a new era. So working with a “world-class team” will provide them with even more opportunities in this sector.

Making History

All and all, this partnership has already achieved many industry milestones. Paddy Power took its first live odds bets in 2010. Then, in the following year, they’re the first sportsbook to launch the cash-out feature. But more importantly, Scientific Games and Flutter Entertainment took their first online wager in New Jersey close to 6 years ago.

This pairing has already made history, and it should offer even more for patron in the future.
