Resorts Casino Hotel was the first of its kind in Atlantic City. In fact, in 1978 it became the first legal casino outside of Nevada to open its doors. Since then, the Resorts has undergone over $125 Million in renovations. This also includes a $5 Million addition to its Conference Center that added 12,000 square feet of space for special events and meetings. Now, we’re learning that Resorts popular Jimmy Buffet’s Landshark Bar and Grill and the Margaritaville restaurant is getting a $2 Million makeover.

Just in Time for Summer
According to the casino hotel, the renovation of the year-round hot spot will wrap up in May 2019. The bar and grill are going to feature a new Landshark Deck Bar. Plus, they’re going to add a new large capacity bar at Resorts most sought-after location. Which, is pretty cool considering how many people the bar and restaurant draw in on an annual basis. Not to mention, Resorts has made several upgrades over the past five years, so this really comes as no surprise. Since 2014, the company completed the renovation of its Ocean Tower, added over 800 new slot machines to its casino floor, and created AC’s first iGaming Lounge. Plus, they recently opened the DraftKings Sports Book at Resorts that added lots of new retail space. Also, they opened Quickbites Food Court and Cielo Wine bar at Capriccio.
Progress Paying Off
As Resorts Casino aims to revamp its non-gaming amenities to attract a new group of people, it appears to pay off. In January this year, the property reported $12.9 Million in revenue. That’s up from the $11.6 Million the year before. So by all means, Resorts knows how to attract new faces and bring business to the city. After all, they’ve been doing this for more than 40 years. So as summer nears, it’s looking like Resorts is going to be the boardwalk’s hottest spot to have a good time. Competition is at an all-time high in AC, and Resorts is making it clear that they’re a real contender.
