FanDuel has just agreed on a deal with the PGA Tour for a multi-year market and content relationship. As such, this will make FanDuel PGA Tour’s official betting partner. As the PGA Tour’s betting operator, they will have a number of rights in the US. These include the right to advertise with Tour Media and Tour Partner platforms and the US’s rights to use PGA Tour marks. Moreover, they will have the all-important content and video rights. This means that FanDuel will be able to make pre and post-game betting programming. They will also be able to distribute any Tour highlights to customers who have made any bets on the Tour. They will provide this on the Tour’s official platforms, including the mobile app and PGATOUR.com website.
An Impressive Brand
The SVP of Media and Gaming at the PGA Tour, Norb Gambuzza, spoke of his admiration of FanDuel. He said that not only does he admire the company’s brand and product. The “leadership position” that it has taken since they first legalized US sports betting in 2018. As such, it is exciting for the PGA Tour team to make FanDuel their official betting partner. With this, they look to bring in new fans in an ever-growing US industry.
A Growing Golfing Audience
Without a doubt, FanDuel is welcoming more golfing fans to its audience than ever before. Indeed, over twelve consecutive Sundays, golf recorded the highest single event handle at the betting company. What’s more, FanDuel’s 2020 golf handle in New Jersey is already more than its 2019 golf handle. This is despite the 3-week lockdown, where golf was of the sporting agenda. More FanDuel customers than ever before are interested in golf, so building on the relationship with the PGA Tour is exciting. They can now offer a better gaming experience for all Tour related deals and offers. But more importantly, they continue building on their offering which proves that patrons at better served at FanDuel.
