Ocean Resort AC Picks William Hill For Its New Sportsbook. Yet another casino is teaming up with a bookie. Ocean Resort Casino (ORC) set to open on June 28, announced it would feature a huge sportsbook on its gaming floor. That is if state regulations in New Jersey are ready. William Hill US, its new partner, already operates in Nevada. ORC is confident the proposal will be a massive hit among casino visitors.
Sports Betting from Day 1
Atlantic City’s ORC opens in just a few weeks’ time. Its officials believe Gov.Phil Murphy will by then sign the new legislation. So there are, finally, no more obstacles to offer a sportsbook in an NJ casino! In short, the 7,500 sq.ft installations will sit in the center of the gaming floor. Needless to say, to make sure to catch the eye of all visitors. It will feature private suits, so the VIPs and high rollers can enjoy big events like the Super Bowl in all the luxury and privacy.
William Hill already big in the US!
The British bookmaker already operates in the US. Its US division has over 100 sportsbooks in Nevada. “We’ve had great success in Las Vegas. It will be exciting to do so in Atlantic City,” said CEO of William Hill US Joe Asher. Actually, this is the bookmaker’s second agreement in NJ. The company also revealed it built a $5 million sportsbook at Monmouth Park racetrack. So as the installation can open the day, Murphy signs the terms of the legislation.
AC’s Borgata said this week it would take wagers as soon as the state approves new regulations. The city’s market-leading casino has the edge over its competitors. Its owners, MGM Resorts, have in-house sportsbook management experience via their Nevada businesses. The same goes for Caesars Entertainment running three AC casinos.
Similarly, Hard Rock AC, opening June 28, wants to offer sports betting. There is no announcement yet. But rumor has it its current online casino tech provider will be the chosen one. Indeed, Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) is set to build its sportsbook, sources reveal just on time.
Additionally, Resorts Casino Hotel said it teamed up with The Stars Group. The company recently acquired British Sportsbook Sky Betting & Gaming. And finally, Golden Nugget Casino AC announced it would hook up with Churchill Downs. It wants to use their CD’s SBTech platform to add sports betting in the mix.
