It’s not been smooth sailing for Ocean Casino Resort this year. In fact, 2019 was a year full of turmoil for the land-based casino and online gambling operator.
If you remember the year started with law-suits and massive sales rumours which then turned out to be true. And in early spring the company lost its CEO in a tragic car accident too. Sure the years’ end is a great time to reminisce and acknowledge the past to avoid mistakes in the future. But it’s also the perfect time to set up a new and solid foundation for the years to come as Ocean Casino Resort did when announcing a new leader, Terry Glebocki.

A perfect fit
On December 3rd, it became official that the interim CEO had what it takes to do the job. In fact, with her 30 years’ experience in finance and time at the Tropicana Entertainment and Trump Entertainment Resorts meant that it was hard to find someone with more experience to drive the company.
Plus, let’s not forget to mention that she also knows the property quite well too since she was the Revel casino’s CFO for a certain time. So, it’s evident that Terry Glebocki was the perfect match for the job.
Ocean Casino Resort banks on diversity to succeed
By accepting the role, the middle-age woman became the first female to head up a casino operation in Atlantic City. And also one of the few women across the States to hold such a job.
But when accepting the permanent position, Terry Glebocki couldn’t help but tell the press that man or woman it’s all about having the right qualification for the job. And naturally, she thinks she has what it takes too. But she later added that “I do think I bring a different perspective to things. I like when there’s diversity in the team.”
So, join us in wishing her the best of luck for the years to come. And congratulate her for making history at Ocean Casino Resort as well.
