In recent news, we’ve learned that New Jersey’s number 1 daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator FanDuel, inked a historical deal with The Breeders’ Cup. Indeed, the multi-year comprehensive sponsorship sees TVG and its parent company FanDuel becoming the official wagering partners of the event. What’s more, is that the deal at hand also means that the sport and the world championship as a whole will get a lot more exposure too.
The truth is, when it comes to Thoroughbred racing, it doesn’t get bigger than The Breeders’ Cup World Championships. And this collaboration, in particular, is very interesting if you’re a horse racing fan and or a DFS player.
TVG set up production
Many aren’t familiar with TVG and for a good reason. The company operates under FanDuel’s umbrella. Plus, they own an advanced-deposit wagering (ADW) platform. So, TVG works behind the scene as we understand. Yet, as sports betting is gaining in popularity, FanDuel wants to give its ADW platform more exposure. And so both TVG and FanDuel and two other business units (including its online casino in NJ) are now official partners.
In addition to providing its service as a betting partner, TVG will also produce player’s shows. In fact, they’ll host pre-race and live coverage plus event’s recap too. Following the deal Craig Fravel, President and CEO of the Breeders’ Cup said. “We are happy to be back working with TVG and the FanDuel Group. TVG has been a long-time supporter of the Breeders’ Cup and a good friend to the horse racing industry.”
Horse racing comes to DFS
According to Kip Levin, CEO of TVG and COO of FanDuel. The deal at hand will be a great opportunity for the company to introduce horse racing to a new generation of punters. But also to entertain its customers with the Breeders’ Cup and special promotions.
FanDuel is also planning on releasing horse racing to its DFS too. However, there are no official words when we’ll see the new addition to the DFS. But, as it stands, Players have the option to check out the races and place bets from the racebook product.
