In terms of innovation and creativity, Hard Rock in Atlantic City has been setting the bar this month! As most customers are aware, the hotel and casino now offer sports betting onsite and online.
However, the physical sportsbook is lacking seats, large monitors, retail space, and a bar! But, that’s all about to change now that the property is entering phase two of developments. Now that NCAA March Madness Tournaments are here, it’s likely this could unfold really quickly too!
Hard Rock Plans for March Madness
The NCAA Tournaments is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, although it’s not Hard Rocks primary focus. In fact, the company’s President Joe Lupo said, “Football season is our primary focus.”
Also, Hard Rock’s sportsbook just rolled out in late January. So, they’ll get a pass this year if they’re not 100% ready for March Madness, even though that’s not the plan. At the same time, Hard Rock is putting a lot of focus on its online casino and sportsbook too. This is because the vast majority of sports betting revenue comes online and mobile sources. However, Hard Rock plans to create a unique physical sportsbook, and they hope to have it ready this month according to rumours!
Setting the Stage
In a competitive casino market like Atlantic City, to have a loyal customer base is a challenge Hard Rock accepts. According to Lupo, it takes time and a lot of fine-tuning to create such a fan base. But the company is confident that by summer they’re going to be ready! As of now, it’s still too early to judge how things are going to be on the retail side of things. But with strategic partnerships in place with companies like GiG, Bet365, and Kindred, it’s likely Hard Rock is going to be the number one go-to sportsbook in New Jersey!
