Hard Rock Atlantic City to have the 8th Sportsbook

Week after week we hear buzz about the Hard Rock and their up-coming sportsbook. Will they or won’t they? In fact, it seems that the hotel finally got a workaround the holdup due to a branding partnership with the Miami Dolphins.

Only last May we reported that the Hard Rock Selected Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) as their official partner. But what we didn’t know is how much they’d benefit from this deal. Indeed, recently Hard Rock signed a letter of intent with their existing partner GIG!

In fact, this letter states that GIG agreed to execute a contract and release a sportsbook for Hard Rock. And since GIG got the approval of the DGE, it seems that the Hard Rock is now on the verge of becoming the 8th operator in NJ to offer sports betting!

Hard Rock Atlantic City to have the 8th SportsbookToo many opportunities to bet?

It’s a fair question to ask, since pretty much every casino is launching a sportsbook nowadays. Neva Pryor, the Executive Director of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of NJ, commented on that matter.

“A new sportsbook means more betting opportunities for gamblers. However, the main solution is going to be vigilance. As long as we keep a watchful eye on each other, it could save many from going down the wrong path.”

Is Hard Rock still on time to benefit from Sportsbook?

Even if Hard rock missed a bit of action, it’s still a great time to offer sportsbook with the ongoing NBA, NHL, and NFL season. Also, their arrival to the sports betting scene brings new opportunities for players in New Jersey.

Unfortunately, Hard Rock has not made it public as to when we will see the official launch. Although sources expect they should be live sometime in Q4. Many are anticipating the launch as it will be both a pioneering moment for Hard Rock and GIG.
