Atlantic City has a 40-years-long history of gaming. In fact, NJ is the only state, which let the industry redevelop the face of its capital, apart from Nevada. East Coast Gaming Congress to Recount the Story of Gambling in NJ! (ECGC) which is in progress as we speak. All and all, over 500 industry professionals are currently discussing gaming in NJ. Indeed, the 22nd annual ECGR kicked off yesterday and ends today. The Harrah’s Waterfront Center is hosting the event. And many professional will attend to listen to the experts’ views on the past and future of NJ gambling today. Because, as you know it’s good to be aware of the history to help predict the future. And there’s no doubt that the new sportsbook legislation will be a front topic of discussion.
A Unique Perspective
Yesterday, Richard Carter, SBTech’s CEO kicked off the event with a speech. And today Timothy Wilmott of the American Gaming Association is doing the keynote speech. From the regulatory side, Joseph Fusco, Director of NJCC is speaking. And even Kevin O’Toole, director of the PGCB, will take the mic.
What’s more is that after today’s keynote they’ll be an open discussion between all the experts. Michael Pollock of Spectrum Gaming Group will moderate the discussion. Pollock has a longstanding editorial career behind him, and many are looking forward to hearing his views. Especially since he wrote an award-winning book that talks about the local aspects of gaming.
