Charity Event Providing Meals for Kids. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey (Southern Branch) invites you to join them for a cocktail reception Wednesday, June 6. The profits from the event will benefit hungry children. In particular, the children who live in Atlantic City, Cape May and Cumberland counties.
Providing Meals for Kids
“Night of 100,000 Meals for Hungry Kids” is the name of the event. The party is from 6-9 p.m. and will take place at the Food Bank’s Egg Harbor Township. In essence, top chefs will make a selection of special creations. And in fact, Tropicana Casino very own head chef will participate in the event.
Indeed, Well-known Chef, Demetrios Haronis will be making food for the cocktail party and to top it all otff, there will be live entertainment too. Guest will get to see the full range of the services offered by the food bank. As well as sample creations made using typical food bank ingredients.
“We invite area residents to learn more about our mission and join us in the war against childhood hunger,” said Richard Uniacke, VP of the Food Bank Southern Branch.
Who Wil it help?
In terms of the childhood hunger rates in New Jersey Cape May, Atlantic City, and Cumberland counties rank as number one, two and four respectively. Thus they hope to raise $30,000, which would provide 100,000 meals for local children. So, come out and support the event, after all, it is for a good cause.

Without a doubt, there’s an impressive and long list of A-lister Chefs, and certainly, there is something here for everyone. Other then Chef Demetrios Haronis seven other Chefs of the region have confirmed they’ll cater for the charity event!
