Caesars Atlantic City, the History
Atlantic City opened its doors to Caesars back in 1979 as “The Boardwalk Regency.” In the beginning, Caesars invested close to $300 million to renovate a Howard Johnson property. On its launch, it was the second casino in Atlantic City. Then, six years later, in 1985, it expanded. To increase its capacity, the officials added an 1100-seat showroom.
Since then, it has had some of the top entertainers in the world perform on its stage. It was in 1987 that it changed its name to Caesars Atlantic City. It then underwent work to give it a Roman-style theme and become the NJ casino that we all know and love.
Celebrating its Successes
All and all, Caesars has been popular since it open, and the future looks even better. In fact, in 2019 it earned the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Furthermore, a number of outlets named it the number one hotel in Atlantic City in 2018. To celebrate the birthday, there will be lots going on.
