Borgata Set to Host Childhood Cancer Awareness Event

On Friday, March 15th 2019, the Borgata will host a childhood cancer head-shaving event at the Signature room. The charity event, in collaboration with the Baldrick’s Foundation, takes place from 10-6 pm. And the good news is that no appointments are necessary to get a good haircut! So you can drop in anytime to support the cause. All donations will go towards research grants for children with cancer. As of now, they’ve raised millions of dollars through this particular life-saving charity.Borgata Set to Host Childhood Cancer Awareness Event

Why You should visit the Borgata

First, it’s a sad reality, but still, it’s true. Did you know that a child receives a cancer diagnostic every 3 minutes worldwide? That’s why charity events like these are so important. They support a cause that touches everyone, in one way or another. Not to mention, it will only take you two minutes to get a clean shave and be on with your day! As a result of your bravery, more than 300,000 children will benefit from your participation! And by the way, if you’re a barber or cosmetologist, you don’t have to get a haircut to land a hand! The Borgata is also looking for volunteers to shave heads and help out.

Making a Difference

According to the St. Baldrick’s record book, more than 50,000 people in the US take action every year. But beyond supporting and hosting the St. Baldrick’s head shaving event, the Borgata also gives to many other charities across America. Last year alone, the casino resort gave away more than $347,000 through generous sponsorships and donations. And a lot of that money also went to the youth. In fact, the Borgata held food drive initiatives to feed children and families in need across the Garden State. But let’s not forget to mention that the Borgata’s team saved over 750 lives in 2018 by donating blood through various drives.
