It’s undeniable, the revival of Atlantic City has so many noticeable benefits. But they’re other perks hidden that comes with the rejuvenation of America’s Favorite playground. In fact, casinos and gambling companies are helping local communities by creating bespoke charitable and educational programs. And also by contributing to existing ones like the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
One of the big helpers towards the local charity is the Borgata. Indeed, the casino knows that, throughout the holiday, some families have a lot on their plates, except food. For this reason, they’re doing their share to ensure everyone has a full belly this year.

$9,000 worth of ham and turkey
Nothing puts a smile on people’s faces like paying it forward. And nothing lifts spirits like knowing that a little action makes a big difference in someone’s life.
So when keeping this in mind. The Borgata, who loves to spread happiness gave close to $9,000 worth of food to New Jersey food bank.
In essence, on November 26th, over 10 Borgata employees visited the Southern Branch. And they also brought with them around 4,000 pounds’ worth of turkey and ham. All and all, It’s not the first time the Borgata casino donates to this worthy cause. But to our knowledge, it’s the first time it teams up with radio stations of Longport. And this to make a greater positive impact for the operation that is in much need of help.
Reaffirming their commitment to a noble cause
Looking at the photos of the event on the Borgata casino website, it’s evident that the team had a great time lending a hand. But Becky Schultz, VP of Food & Beverage for Borgata, was especially happy to see how the team is making a difference, again.
“The team’s commitment to volunteering and donating their time to fight hunger is inspiring”, she said. And later added that the food drive “reinforces the dedication that we have to support our local South Jersey community”.
She also reminded everyone that the local food bank is accepting donations. And that a $25 pledge can put a smile on 4 people’s face as well as transform a Christmas for those in need.
