16 years in the making
The SJFD exists for close to 16 years. But, Borgata Casino has not been with them from the start. Yet, they’re now one of the main sponsors. Sure by funding the charity. And also by allowing its staff to help out during normal office days. In fact, in the celebration of the closing of the all-star season Borgata had over 20 staff members lending a hand at the event.
And according to Dr John Glassey, founder and board member of SJFD. The program has evolved over the years. In a recent press release, he even pointed out that SJFD has a positive impact on socially challenged kids of the area. The core value
SJFD, in essence, gives everyone an equal chance to play one of America’s favourite park sports, Baseball. Indeed, for one day, all physically and mentally challenged children and adult’s disabilities are put aside. So far, the SJFD have over 300 kids coming from 65 different towns across six counties. And as their success increases so does the number of participants, towns, and counties it reaches.
