Are you new to the American Gambling Awards? Well, don’t worry, we all are since 2019 marked the debut for what could become a prestigious award. In fact, the American Gambling Association pioneered a gala. In essence, the event recognizes outstanding work in the gambling industry. But mostly, excellent work in the regulated online market in the US.
All and all, the Award shines the light on hard-working suppliers and operators. But it also puts the spotlight on lawyers and policymakers who help the industry too. So, now that you’re more familiar with the ceremony. Let’s check out who went home with a trophy.
On June 18th Monmouth Park filled up with industry experts from 11 states. And they all had a common dream. Which was to go home with one or more gold plated Eagle trophies. Which meant that the company and its staff shined brighter than the other 70 finalists. Or at least the jury made of 25 industry experts thought so.
After the final vote was cast, an independent service took care of the counting. And in the end, Matthew Berry, the host, made some very worthy winners. Per example, Betfair’s FanDuel jumped on the podium to pick up the trophy for Sports Betting Operator. And Rush Street Interactive lifted the trophy twice that evening for their SugarHouse brand.
Celebrate and chat about hot topics
While the American Gambling Award recognizes excellence in online gambling. The evening is also a great opportunity for influencers to get together. During that evening, the responsible regulatory needs for each market was a hot topic. And we can also assume that many share their thoughts on the Wire Act deferral. But all and all, everyone who attended the evening, winner or not, shared a general consensus. Indeed, the Awards will bring positive attention to the online gambling industry.
