Atlantic City casinos go all in for Breast Cancer Awareness

Every year, online and offline casinos of Atlantic City help to raise awareness for breast cancer. Indeed, supporting Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) is paramount for AC’s entertainers. This is because cancer touches everyone in one way or another. So it’s no wonder the Tropicana Casino went all pink last October. They’ve even found new ways to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society (ACS). We’ll recap how NJ casinos were a big part of BCA this year in the following paragraph. AC Breast Cancer Awareness – Real men wear pink

For Jason Gregorec Tropicana Casino’s GM, helping BCA meant wearing pink every day. But he’s not the only one who opted to wear pastel colors to make a difference. Several members of Tropicana’s Team have also embraced the color pink in October. At the same time, they also accepted pledges for the cause.

As Gregorec puts it, “Breast cancer affects everyone.” So, a person’s gender has nothing to do with spreading the word. Hence, he seized every chance the venue presented to highlight the courage of women battling the disease. This means adding a pink glow to the Havana Tower and all fountains in the casino. It’s also worth pointing out that all the wish money the fountain raised went to ACS in October.

AC Breast Cancer Awareness –  Lighting up the sky for a good cause

The Tropicana has even dedicated its iconic Multimedia Light and Sound Show to BCA to make sure everyone heard the message. They even added a touch of pink to some of their visual effects. So, as AC’s sky brightened up, folks remembered those touched by the disease. But they also appreciated the nighttime spectacle. And those who visited any Caesars’ venues could enjoy a custom Tito’s Vodka cocktail. And this while supporting the cause. Indeed, $1 per cocktail sold throughout the casino went to breast cancer efforts last October.

As of now, the Tropicana Casino has not confirmed a total donation to ACS. But surely, with everything that happened, the amount collected during October will make a difference.

Other casinos NJ supported the BCA month

For Terry Glebocki, Ocean Casino Resorts (OCR) CEO, the cause was too important not to highlight. As one of the 2 female CEOs of AC pointed out, hotels in the garden states are invested in the community they have casinos in. Hence, it was easy to convince everyone to wear the colors proudly. But the effort to the cause also saw 25% of OCR sportsbook profits go to ACS.

Supporting the breast cancer effort for Bally, on the other hand, meant that those who opted to “pink up their drink” in October would help the Treasure the Moment Fund.

And for Borgata Casino Hotel, demonstrating their support of the cause meant lighting up the 32nd floor of the hotel. And, of course, adding a touch of pink to the venue’s sign. Also, the senior staff of the casino partnered up with the ACS for a fun-raiser leaderboard.

Caesars take its support outside of AC.

Last but not least, Caesars officially sponsored the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks in Ocean City. Without a doubt, the company’s leaders would have noted how The Strides Against Breast Cancer organization is paramount for those who battle with the disease. It provides free transport to patients undergoing chemo and sometimes even offers them a place to stay. Not to forget, they also have a 24/7 helpline to support folks touched by breast cancer.

With everything that happened in AC to support BCA, several organizations should have more means to help out in a time that matters the most. And that’s always great to hear.
